Strengthening neighborhoods and reducing inequity in St. Louis by creating a network for investing in people-centered, place-based community development.

Let's Get Familiar
Hello, Neighbor

Invest STL seeks to shift the region’s approach to neighborhood development toward one that centers racial equity and amplifies the desires, power, and agency of people within neighborhoods that have experienced decades of systemic disinvestment.

We believe that every neighborhood in St. Louis is full of promise and the people who can make that promise come true.

We look forward to partnering with you and your neighbors in your neighborhood.

Our Work

What We Do

We pursue equitable community development by focusing our work in three areas: direct investments in neighborhoods, convening thought leadership that can lead to policy development and convening philanthropic, private, and public funding partners to test innovative ideas coming from community partners.

01

We invest in neighbors and neighborhoods

We invest in neighbors and neighborhood-level organizations because we believe connected and resourced neighborhoods can advocate for their needs better than anybody else and should be supported in self-determining their future.

02

We seek to drive change on large scale

We aim to align the community development ecosystem with neighborhood leadership so their experiences and ideas inform equitable policy decisions for the region.

03

We are prepared to test big ideas

We plan to elevate and expand on the ideas, initiatives, and policies that work on a neighborhood level, and to test those innovative ideas that will lead to a big, regional impact.
