Shannon believes the empowered residents must be at the center of determining and sustaining their communities. In previous roles, she engaged community members in federal grant initiatives, supported campaign development, events, and communications at a couple of nonprofits, and served as an AmeriCorps VISTA.
Shannon holds a BA in Television and Film from Boston University and a Master’s in Social Work from the Brown School of Social Work at Washington University. She also serves on the board of directors for Metropolitan Congregations United. Shannon lives in Dutchtown with her partner and several cats.
